WE'RE GOOD TO GO
Hurrah, we are good to good! But what does that mean?
Well, in our case it means that we've received our Good to Go certificate from Visit England. The certificates are issued to show that a business is following government and industry Covid-19 guidelines to ensure visitors, staff and volunteers are as safe as possible.
From Tuesday 11th August we will be opening 11am - 5pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
There will be a limit to the number of visitors in the museum, booking is not required but you can pre-book tickets in advance if you wish, here:
We have hand sanitizer available on entry to the museum, there is signage in place to direct you around the museum's one way system and extra staff are on hand to help.
Wearing a face covering in the museum is mandatory from Saturday 8 August. If you are exempt from wearing a mask please let staff know when you arrive.
Please be aware there are no toilets at the museum.
There are public toilets, including a toilet for disabled visitors, close by 110 metres from the museum, opposite the Castle car park: https://www.york.gov.uk/directory-record/668/coppergate-shopping-centre-public-toilets
